What happens next?
What happens next is up to you:
You can request a phone call with Tina to discuss options.
- You can talk to a Norwegian student that has been to New Zealand (Norwegian Alumni) – we would be very happy to arrange this for you.
Like our Facebook page to stay in touch and get regular news.
- None of the above, stay home, be a couch potato – not to be confused with a Norwegian potato. 😉
When should I apply?
The sooner you get in touch with me and our Norwegian Alumni (via the contact form), the sooner we can start to plan your trip for the following year (if you get in touch in Sept – Dec) or the same year (for contacting me in January – May).
You typically apply for a High School Year in February/March/April for a start in July and the same applies for university studies.
Are there entry requirements for High School Year or University Studies (=Tertiary Studies)?
High School Year:
There are no entry requirements. Your level will be assessed upon arrival and you will go into classes according to your level. The English level of our Norwegian students is generally very good and you will have no problems to engage and study in NZ.
An English test (typically IELTS or Toefl, sometimes High School Certificate will be also accepted) is often the only entry requirement. Some technical or creative subjects request that you have studied certain areas before studying.
Are scholarships available?
Yes, there are scholarships available for both High School and tertiary studies. Our 2 videos about funding are explaining these.
